Over the time I have been in Athens, we have learned about the substantial importance at Greece in reusing materials to not put them to waste. A prime example of this is the damage of the Acropolis. The Acropolis is well known to have been destroyed due to attacks and modifications to it, such as changing it to a church and a mosque. However in the dark times, citizens who didn’t care for the cultural value of the Acropolis broke some of the marble to find the metal inside used to keep marble stones together and reuse them. This may be sad but also shows how people that lived here looked to reuse parts to not have to find more. In a similar way I would like to take parts from non-functional buildings (anything that is built) with no cultural value and reuse them to create the future. This will not only cheapen the cost of the new creations but lessen waste of materials for the betterment of the ecosystem.
New addition to the end of the blog. Song Of The Day (SOTD)! This is just a song that I listen to today that I resonated with throughout the day.
