Today we began the day at the university. We saw an amazing presentation on venom, poison, and peptides. It was a great look into what goes into the chemistry and engineering at the university. The many uses of certain venoms are unexpected and versatile, including cardiovascular issues and pain relief. We also got to see art and artifacts from Greece over many centuries at the Benaki Museum. Seeing how Greece changed and evolved over time was very intriguing. From its art, culture, and citizens. Each era of Greece varied drastically. Lastly, we got to see an amazing view of Mount Lycabettus. Seeing how far the city has spread really showed me what this city has become today.
