Day 2 Blog

For today, we went to La Paz and the strawberry farm, which was a very unique and special experience. I was able to learn more and more about the Costa Rican culture and how it differs from the American culture, which was very cool. First, we can talk about La Paz, and in my opinion, whether it can maintain a sustainable relationship or not. I believe La Paz is able to keep a sustainable relationship with people by helping us become educated about the animals and different insects. If we build a connection with the animals, we will be more likely to support environmental protection. With land, the La Paz can help endangered species be more protected and help breed more animals, and with commerce, the La Paz balances keeping the animals safe while generating profit. The one downside of La Paz, in my opinion, that keeps it from becoming fully sustainable is that they are holding animals in captivity.

For the strawberry farm, I believe it maintains a sustainable relationship with people because today it helped us educate more about the strawberry and the flower. This helps us build a deeper understanding of strawberries and see them as more than just a fruit. With this knowledge, it helps us make sure to protect the land and build a sustainable relationship with it. I believe the strawberry farm has a sustainable relationship with commerce because it makes profits by selling quality strawberries without damaging any land or harming the employees. Overall I believe both these places are mostly able to maintain a sustainable relationship, and it was a great experience.
