My day at the La Paz showed me there was a perfect demonstration of a sustainable relationship between people, land and commerce. I think it’s very neat how La Paz turned a natural environment into a tourist attraction and an economic resource. On the commerce side of things, the waterfalls, rainforest trails, and wildlife exhibits bring in many visitors both from Costa Rica and people visiting from another country. Additionally, La Paz creates plenty of great jobs for guides, restaurant workers, and maintenance staff. On the land side of things, the park does a great job taking care of the establishment because they want it nice for the animals and for the visitors. Lastly, from the people side of things, La Paz is an extraordinary spot to visit. There are very few places like La Paz, and I know I will always remember this experience.
La Paz is a perfect demonstration of everyone getting benefits, even the animals. The animals that they have are all rescue animals. Some people may argue it’s unethical to have animals in cages but in reality, they are taking them out of bad environments and giving them a safe home where they can get food and water. All in all, La Paz is an amazing place, and I would recommend it to everyone visiting Costa Rica. Being able to go somewhere where you can enjoy the scenery and share memories while also knowing you’re in an environment where animals are safe and land is being properly conversed. La Paz demonstrates a sustainable relationship in everyway imaginable.
