Day 3: Production of Products at Dien Quang

The aspect of the facility that interested me the most was the showroom, where they were able to display their products, and show how they operate. I was really interested in this part of the facility because it explained the function of the products that we were watching being made, so it was nice to see how the work was being put into practice. The showroom had a lot of innovative and interesting products that were unique to their company, and I honestly felt compelled to purchase certain items after they had been explained.

The automation process in the facility was also very interesting, as it was a mix of both robotic machinery and human action that went into the creation of the items. I would say that the most fascinating part of the process was seeing the human workers in their element, and using the high technology skills to create the wiring.

The workplace presence included many human supervisors for the robots that were manufacturing the more tedious part of the invention, and it also had human supervisors that quality checked the human performance on the wiring and electrical components that were being produced. I would say that the human working conditions could be a little improved upon, as their working area did not have air conditioning, so I think that could be something that the company could adjust in order to slightly improve the working conditions, which was something that Professor Minh addressed during his lecture.

A product from the SmartBar / showroom that really grabbed my attention was the heat preservation lamps, as I feel like I had never seen things like that back home. I am not sure how practical this would be for American homes / restaurants, but it could be something implemented to help with sustainability and green energy. I also saw these lamp designs that were super cute, and I really wanted to purchase one!
