A Day Exploring Blenheim Palace and Oxford

We started off our day by taking a bus ride to Blenheim Palace. As we were walking toward the palace, we saw a running race taking place nearby. One thing I have noticed during my time in the United Kingdom is that people seem to be very active overall, and I see many people out running or exercising throughout the day. It was interesting to notice how common physical activity seems to be and how many people spend time outdoors staying active.

We then took a tour and went inside Blenheim Palace. One of the main things that stood out to me was the incredible amount of intricate detail throughout the palace. Everywhere we looked there were beautiful designs, decorations, and artwork. I especially loved looking up at the ceilings and seeing all of the detailed paintings and patterns. Each room felt unique and elegant in its own way.

I also enjoyed looking at all of the different curtains and decorations throughout the rooms. Everything inside the palace felt so grand and beautiful. The size of the palace was also amazing to me. There were so many rooms and hallways that I honestly think if I lived there, I would get lost in my own house!

My favorite part of visiting Blenheim Palace was getting to explore the gardens. They were absolutely beautiful, and the layout was so well designed and peaceful. My camera roll is now full of pictures because the view of the palace from the gardens was amazing. Everywhere I looked felt picture-worthy because of how pretty the scenery was.

We also walked over to the secret gardens, which I really enjoyed. It was very quiet, relaxing, and peaceful there. Being farther away from the palace made it feel like a calm escape from the busier areas. If I lived there, I think I would spend a lot of time in those gardens because they felt so calming and beautiful. I liked that it was a short walk from the palace because it gave people a chance to slow down, enjoy nature, and take a peaceful break while still being surrounded by such pretty scenery.

We then walked around the gift shop before leaving to go to Oxford. I had heard of Oxford before, but I had never been there, so I was very excited to finally visit. Once we arrived, we grabbed a quick bite to eat before starting our tour around the city. I was excited to explore such a well-known and historic place and see what made Oxford so famous.

As we went on the tour around Oxford, I was amazed by how beautiful everything was. The architecture, streets, and buildings all looked so historic and detailed. One of the most memorable parts was walking into the dining hall where students eat. There were long tables all perfectly separated from each other, and the room honestly looked like something out of a movie. It almost did not feel real because everything looked so grand and perfect.

While walking around, I also loved the cobblestone pathways throughout the city. They gave Oxford a very classic and historic feeling. There were also many people riding bikes and passing by us, which made the city feel very active and lively. During the tour, we got to walk around and see many different sites and buildings, and each place felt unique in its own way. Overall, I thought Oxford was absolutely beautiful, and I could definitely picture myself going to school there. At times, it almost seemed too pretty and perfect to even be real.

The weather was also much better than I expected, which made walking around even more enjoyable. Before leaving Oxford, we stopped at the gift shop where I got a sweatshirt to remember the trip. Honestly, I did not want to leave because I felt like I could spend hours just walking around and looking at all of the different buildings and architecture throughout the city.

Another highlight of my day was when we got free samples of chocolate in a chocolate shop! Honestly, who does not love chocolate, especially when it is free? The samples were very good, and it was a fun little stop during our time in Oxford. It made the experience even more enjoyable and was definitely a sweet part of the day.

As we traveled back, I spent some time working on our presentation that we have tomorrow. I am excited for it, but also a little nervous at the same time. It is hard to believe that it is already Monday tomorrow because this trip is going by so quickly. I feel like every day has been filled with so many experiences and memories already.
