Today was such a beautiful and memorable day because we got to visit Blenheim Palace and later tour the amazing city of Oxford. Even though we did not have as much time at the palace as I wanted, the day still ended up being one of my favorites so far.
When we first arrived at Blenheim Palace, I was honestly amazed by how huge and beautiful everything looked. The palace itself looked like something straight out of a movie with its giant stone buildings, fancy gardens, and peaceful atmosphere. My favorite part of the entire visit was definitely the Secret Garden. It felt so calm and magical hidden away from everything else. Walking through the garden made me feel like I was inside a fairytale because of all the flowers, greenery, and little pathways. It was probably one of the prettiest places I have ever seen. I really wish we had more time there because I could have stayed exploring for hours. I was honestly a little upset that we had to leave so quickly because there was still so much more I wanted to see and learn about.
After leaving Blenheim Palace, we headed to Oxford, and I instantly understood why so many people love it there. The city was absolutely beautiful and had such a peaceful and intelligent atmosphere. Everywhere we walked there were old buildings, cute little shops, and so much history surrounding us. It almost felt like stepping back in time while still being in a busy modern city.
One of the best parts of the day was getting to visit University of Oxford and specifically New College. The architecture there was incredible and everything looked so historic and elegant. Walking through the college made me think about all the students who studied there throughout history and how important education is. The buildings, courtyards, and gardens were all so beautiful and peaceful. It honestly made me imagine what it would be like to attend a university like that one day.
Another really fun part of the trip was shopping around Oxford. We ended up getting lots of gifts and souvenirs to remember the trip. The shops were so cute and there were so many unique things to look at. Even just walking around the streets was enjoyable because the city had such a nice vibe and there was always something interesting to see.
Overall, today was such a fun and unforgettable experience. Even though I wish we had more time at Blenheim Palace, especially in the Secret Garden, I still loved every part of the day. From exploring royal gardens to walking through the historic streets of Oxford, today was filled with beautiful sights, history, and memories that I will definitely never forget.
