The AI discussion today really made me think. I have been told and understand that the job market will change drastically because of AI. It is nerve-racking to think about the impacts that AI will have directly on me. I felt a little scared when the speaker said that all intermediate jobs will be replaced by AI. He said you need to be at the top basically. However, many new jobs will be created as a result of AI. It was interesting how the internet was used as an example. There have been so many jobs created through the internet, and I hope it will be the same with AI. It was cool to meet the Mark Cuban of Morocco. He acted like we didn’t know what Shark Tank was. I was shocked that Shark Tank is a show in Morocco. I found that to be cool.
When I use AI, I usually use it as a study resource or for idea generation. If I need to study for a test, I will use AI for practice questions and for help explaining answers to me. I will use AI to create study guides and provide simple definitions of important vocabulary words. In addition, AI is useful for idea generation. If I am doing a creative project or need an idea for a creative paper, I will use AI to generate me ideas. For example, I will pick to write about sports. If I am struggling to write a paper, I will ask AI for ideas for a paper on sports. Through the ideas AI generates, I can bounce ideas off of it to create my prompt. I will also use AI if I have a medical problem or if I am having a technology issue. AI helped me solve an issue with my computer that I would have had no chance of solving from YouTube.
I believe that AI actually helps the creative process. I can come up with many creative ideas by using AI. AI amplifies the thoughts I already have. However, I think it will negatively impact creativity when people automatically rely on AI. If people just go straight to AI and ask for creative ideas, this will negatively impact creation topics.
