The Journey continues, Day 2 in Cyprus

Today we started our professional visits with companies. The first company we visited with was Medochemie, a generic pharmaceutical manufacturing company. Here I learned about the different types of ways things can be stored. For example, medochemie utilizes mobile storage racks to maximize area in the warehouse. After Medochemie we headed to the University of Nicosia to meet with Wargaming.

Wargaming is a video game company based in Cyprus which produced popular games such as World of Tanks and World of Battleships. Mr Liusha, a game design expert talked to us about the process of developing an idea into a game. It was interesting to learn about the problems he believed were in his industry. A problem he believed was that many bad games were being released due to people giving too many green lights to release bad ideas. I especially found this company visit interesting as I play many video games myself and understand many of the technical/industry terms he used in the presentation.

Overall it was a great day learning about the pharmaceutical and gaming industries in Cyprus!
