Today was a very culture-intensive day. We left the hotel around 8:30 am to head to our first destination of the day, Bukhansan National Park. We were set to take a hike up to visit a temple. I was very excited to go, as I love hiking. However, I was a little nervous as it rained the day prior, so everything would be slippery.
At the beginning of the hike, I felt like my pace was good. I was climbing up the rocks with little to no problem. However, then came the streams. As a clumsy person, climbing through a stream is a nightmare. With one wrong move, I could fall into the stream, which I did. Luckily, my knee was not hurt, and I was able to finish. While it got strenuous at times, it was well worth it. The view from the top of the mountain was gorgeous. I liked the architecture of the temple, and we even got to put up a lantern. The only thing worse than going up was going down. The mountain was very slippery so one misstep and I was tumbling down. Luckily that did not happen and made it to the bus

After a morning of hiking, we ended our day with a cooking class. In the class, we were tasked with making bibimbap. I like cooking to a point. I like cooking the food. The prep work is not for me. Of course, as soon as I entered, I saw all the vegetables uncut. I just do not have the knife skills. However, I somehow got Dr. Yun as a partner, so he helped mostly with the prep work, and I got to cook it in the pan. Everything turned out well, except for the carrots. They may have gotten a little burnt.
