Intro to Plus3 Vietnam: Evan Liddle

Hello, my name is Evan Liddle, and I am currently a first-year student at the College of Business Administration studying finance but, considering double majoring in another business related major as well. A little bit about me personally is that I am from Collegeville PA which is just outside Philadelphia for those who do not know. I am a big sports fan and growing up I played a variety of different sports such as baseball, disc golf, bowling, and tennis. When I was young, I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and had to spend quite a bit of time in hospitals or at physical therapy sessions. At Pitt, I joined Panther Equity, a student-led investment club where I was Junior Analyst for the Industrials and Consumers Sector.

This summer I will be going on the Plus 3 trip to Vietnam! The reason I chose to go to Vietnam and to do study abroad in general is that I wanted to learn about other cultures and gain a better understanding about their way of living. I am also excited to expand my culinary horizons and get to try some authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Academically, I hope to learn important skills that could help me for when I am in the work force that you might not be able to learn in a classroom. As well as, learning how businesses from around the world differ from here in the United States and how we could learn from them.
