Hi! I’m Noah Chlan and I am from Vienna, Virginia. Currently, I am majoring in Marketing and Supply Chain Management in the College of Business Administration. I’ve joined several clubs as a freshman, including Panther Racing (Pitt’s FSAE), the Music and Entertainment Business Association, and Club Swim. Within Panther Racing, I primarily work as a social media intern as a part of their expansive business team. The Panther Racing business team aims to give students the opportunity to grow their skills in the business world while supporting their engineers with the design and construction of a formula-style race car against other schools in the United States and abroad. I believe that these elements of hands-on work, especially with the Engineering school, will set me up well for Plus 3 Cyprus.

I am so excited to be a part of this program as I believe it will provide me with several opportunities to develop and explore my career with real world application. The global hub that is Cyprus, especially with its ship management, will allow me to fully grasp the importance of supply chain in action. Additionally, as an island full of rich history, I will have plenty to appreciate as within the cultural sites we’ll visit. In fact, my grandmother used to live in Cyprus on the British base Akrotiri, which was one of the reasons I chose this location. Beyond that, I believe this trip will provide me with a multitude of educational opportunities, from Q&As to company tours, that simply can’t be fully grasped within a classroom.
