With only a few days left on the trip, today really hit me, that weird mix of emotions when you realize how fast everything’s gone. We started off visiting Hoerbiger, and honestly, it stood out compared to the other companies we’ve seen. The presentations were a bit long, but I was actually into it. I like learning about stuff I’ve never seen before, and it was wild how much detail and effort goes into making those tiny engine parts. It’s easy to overlook how complex something so small can be.
The second half of the day flipped the vibe completely. We headed to Oberammergau and took a cable car up into the mountains. Not gonna lie, I was gripping the handrail the whole way up. Every time the car wobbled, I was bracing myself. But once we made it to the top? Totally worth it. The view was insane, the Alps stretched out in front of us, sunlight hitting just right. One of those moments where you try to take a million pictures, but none of them really capture how unreal it feels to be there.
As the trip winds down, I’m definitely feeling that pull between excitement to go home and not wanting this to end. Days like this, with views like that, don’t come around often, and I’m going to miss it.
