Hey everyone! My name is Miranda Lapham, and I am a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. I am majoring in nursing. On campus, I am on the executive board for SNA (student nurses association). In my free-time I like to workout, walk my 2 dogs, and hangout with friends and family. In a little less than a month I will be in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I will be there for a two-week study abroad program with nursing and business students from the University of Pittsburgh. I cannot wait for this experience and I am very thankful for having the opportunity to do this! I chose this specific program to learn about how hospitals are ran in Argentina first hand and how it is similar or different to the United States. I also have chosen this program because I am sure it will help me become a better nurse. I have always wanted to study abroad and can’t wait for this experience. This experience will help me grow in many ways culturally, academically, and professionally. I cannot wait to learn about Argentina’s culture and become more educated on their traditions. It will help me grow academically since I will have a new understanding of how hospitals are ran in a different country. I am positive this trip will help me grow my knowledge outside of the classroom. If I didn’t say it enough I am super excited!!
