Officially done with the second day in Prague!! My feet definitely hurt after today, but I had an amazing time getting to see different parts of the city and even taking the tram for the first time!
The day began with an absolutely delicious breakfast spread, chocolate fountain included, and only got better from there. We traversed along the Charles Bridge and heard all about the history behind it. From there we explored the other side of the river, slowly making our way up to Prague castle and catching some amazing views along the way. We got to explore the gardens where there were peacocks (my favorite animal), as well as get a peek at some streets off the typical tourist path were citizens of Prague actually live.
When we finally made it up to Prague castle we went inside to look at the courtyards as well as walk through St. Vitus Cathedral. While inside we were able to here a group of men taking advantage of the wonderful acoustics, as well as learn about the building of this cathedral.
After the walking tour had finished up for the day, we grabbed lunch at a delicious restaurant with heavenly desserts, and from there we just began to explore the city about! From locating a rooftop on an art museum with a beautiful view, to finding nutria (water rats) in an island park, and finally getting to see the dancing house and sitting on its’ rooftop terrace.
To end this wonderful day we navigated ourselves back from the dancing house to our hotel with no help from google maps, and then had a lovely dinner with some very interesting soup containing a hard boiled egg, as well as some yummy pasta with shrimp.
Until tomorrow!
Emma
