Day 2: Many Steps and a Sunburn

We’ve only been in the Czech Republic for one full day, but between our travel endeavors and our city exploration today, there have certainly been some highs, and, luckily, very few lows. For all of us, our travel day was longer than we wanted it to be. Despite the 21-hour-long experience with very little sleep, this turned out to be a very positive experience for me because I was able to spend lots of time getting to know the people on the trip much better.

Today also had some definite highs. We started the day with a walking tour of the city and concluded the day many hours later by walking around the city some more. We all took well over 20,000 steps, and I did get slightly sunburned, but it was all worth it to learn more about the city and to spend some quality time with the group.

We also definitely took advantage of the fantastic weather today on our walks around Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Charles Bridge, the Dancing House, and more. Across the board, I’m very thankful that every potential negative point of the trip was offset at each moment. I look forward to the rest of the trip, knowing we’re a great group with a great guide.
