Waking up in London was so exciting! I had such a relaxing night in my hotel. The air conditioning was pumping, I took a shower in the amazing rainfall shower and I fell asleep so fast watching YouTube on the TV. I woke up quickly, got dressed, and headed down to breakfast. Breakfast was one of the most extravagant I’ve had. Toast with eggs, beans, oats, tomatoes and spinach. After that filling breakfast we all went to the train station. This was my first experience with the fast-paced train system that is the 6 Underground. I was very nervous to be going around there with all the Londoners. I quickly got the hang of it. Using Google Maps is also a lifeline as it explains to you which stops are yours to get off on. We took the train to Westminster. As soon as you walked out of the station you saw a big Ben. It was so exciting to see this big monument in person. We walked on because the nursing students went to the Florence Nightingale Museum. We kept walking around and took many photos on the bridges and just looked at the whole scenery. Once they were finished in the museum we met back up and our day in London began.

As a group, we all headed down back to the train station to go up to Soho. There we did a little shopping and got lunch. We tried out a cute little coffee shop that was aesthetically pleasing. After lunch, we continued on our day with shopping and just roaming around the endless streets. Around 2 o’clock a small group went to the wax museum. Madame Tussaud’s was so crowded but so much fun. Since we bought our tickets ahead of time, we were able to quickly get in at our assigned time. I was a little stressed about getting to Madame Tussauds’ on time because our Uber got stuck in traffic. Inside there was an Awards show with red-carpet celebrities and musicians. What was most unusual was a section dedicated to Infamous London serial killers. That was my least favorite part because it was kind of like a haunted house. But once we survived, we got to go on a little taxi ride to this museum. I felt like this museum went on forever and forever it was almost like Disneyland. This ride was in the shape of a taxi and went through what they called the spirit of London. This was just a bunch of history and monumental moments in English history after that we ran into the Star Wars section. This was my favorite. We saw Chewbacca, Han Solo, Rey, Yoda, Darth Vader, Anakin Skywalker, all of them. Not to mention, we saw some Marvel characters as well. The wax museum was worth it and I had so much fun.

After the wax museum, we took the train up to the West End. I have mastered the city now and I am so proud of myself. Once we got up there, we went to a pizza restaurant. It was really good. The dough was amazing after we crossed the street and went to the Novelle Theater. Here we saw Mamma Mia and it was phenomenal. The singing was on point and I could hardly tell that they were singing live. They sounded purely amazing. The acting was pretty good too. Overall, 10 out of 10. I am so tired after our long day in London I’m going to fall asleep very fast tonight. I am so sad to say goodbye to everybody, but I am so grateful for the new friendships that I have made during this trip.
