Today started off kind of early with hotel breakfast before we hopped on the bus for about an hour-long drive to the DMZ. Once we arrived, we went into the infiltration tunnels that were secretly dug by North Korea as a way to plan an invasion of the South. After that, we headed to the overlook area. Unfortunately, it was super cloudy, so we couldn’t really see much. On a clear day, you’re supposed to be able to see all the way to a North Korean propaganda village and even the city of Kaesong, which would’ve been so cool. I was definitely bummed that the fog blocked the view. We ended the visit by stopping at the gift shop area. Overall, it was a good experience, but I wish we could’ve seen more of North Korea; it was kind of sad that the weather didn’t cooperate.

stop.

After the DMZ, we had another hour bus ride to the baseball stadium. Since we had some time to kill before the game started, my friends and I went to the baseball merch store outside the stadium. I got a Kiwoom Heroes shirt since that’s the team we were rooting for, and I also picked out a super cute bunny stuffed animal. Once we had bought some merch, we grabbed our food and headed inside.

One thing I found really interesting was that you could bring outside food into the stadium. We bought Korean fried chicken outside—spicy wings, plain wings, and sweet & spicy wings—and brought it in to eat at our seats while we waited for the game to start. It was all so good. Another cool thing: you’re allowed to leave and re-enter the stadium as long as you have your ticket. I feel like I have never seen something like that in the US, so it was interesting to witness people leaving and coming back with outside food during the game.

Unfortunately, the Kiwoom Heroes didn’t have their best game and ended up losing to the Samsung Lions. The game went late, and we didn’t get back to the hotel until 11 p.m. I’m definitely ready to sleep.

Tomorrow, we have a company visit and a trip to a park. I’m looking forward to a more relaxing day after such a packed schedule today!
