Pitt Abroad in Argentina

on

Hi everyone! My name is Korinne Culp, and I am a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh studying Marketing and Global Management while pursuing a certificate in Leadership and Ethics. At Pitt, I am an active member of Alpha Delta Pi (ADPi) and the American Marketing Association, both of which have helped me grow professionally and build good connections on campus. I enjoy meeting new people, exploring the city, and getting involved in opportunities that combine business, leadership, and communication skills.

I’m originally from Denver, Colorado, where I grew up skiing, hiking, running, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Outside of academics, I love traveling, working out, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family. Since both of my parents work in healthcare, I’ve become interested in healthcare management and how strong leadership can improve patient experiences and healthcare systems overall.

My chosen Plus3 location is the Healthcare Management program in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I chose this program because it combines my interests in business, healthcare, and global culture, while also giving me the opportunity to experience South America for the first time. I’m excited to learn about Argentina’s healthcare system and how it compares to the United States, especially how culture and accessibility influence patient care and healthcare management. Personally, I hope this experience helps me become more adaptable and globally minded while allowing me to fully experience Argentine culture through the food, city life, and traditions like tango. I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to see everything Buenos Aires has to offer!
