Finally, on the last day we visited my group’s company FoodCloud. I loved this site visit simply just because of the valuable work they do. FoodCloud has been able to use technology to connect charities, retailers, individuals and other food banks to help reduce food waste. FoodCloud believes in supporting the communities around them by doing events, educating, and distributing food that would have been wasted. I think what makes their business model so successful is how much they try to keep improving the technology they use. If their technology was not up to date their business model could struggle in terms of connecting different groups of people. I also think that the most innovative part of their business model is how they connect with other charities and act as a type of hub through which food can be distributed efficiently and safely. Overall, I think FoodCloud has a unique business model that will continue to support their mission for years to come.
