The long wait for the end of this semester is finally over. Now, after taking all our finals and finishing every final project, we are finally ready to depart for South Korea. I was fortunate enough to complete all my finals by Wednesday, so I was able to relax before the trip started. So, I was able to meet up with some friends and eat lunch with my dad before the Plus3 dinner.

During the Plus3 Dinner, we went over everything we needed to know. The entire end of this week was all rainy and overall depressing, casting an uneasy feeling over the entire trip. Overall, I felt mostly positive given how happy I was with finals, but I knew the worst was yet to come. In my opinion, the single worst part of this entire trip has to be the travel. The last time I really went on such a long flight was basically a decade ago when I went to India. I am not looking forward to getting to South Korea. Once there, I’m absolutely sure the trip will actually become enjoyable.

I got caught up in three things in the TSA security line: my water bottle, my laptop, and my magnet. I completely forgot about my water bottle, which happened to be filled to the brim with water. Because of this, I had to go through the entire metal detector scan again. Before this, I had to get my backpack checked because of the number of devices I had near my laptop, including a phone and a tablet. Finally, I stupidly kept my fidget magnet (pictured above) on my person without thinking. The security guard was very confused as to why I had the magnet at all in the first place. I couldn’t tell you. If that wasn’t already bad, I had to get patted down on my second scan for no reason. I didn’t get scanned the first time, but the second time I did, which makes no sense.

The flight has landed. Now we have to wait for our 7-hour 40-minute layover in the Atlanta Airport. Restless and hungry, I’m still looking forward to actually getting to South Korea. Goodbye.
