Hello everyone,

My name is Jacob Winakor. I am a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh in the Industrial Engineering Department. I am excited to get to travel to Vietnam and experience everything it has to offer. Be sure to check back in and follow my journey!

I am from a small town called Portland, Connecticut. I was drawn to the University of Pittsburgh because it was so different than anything I’ve ever known. That is exactly why I am excited to go to Vietnam. I have never traveled outside of North America, and cannot wait to broaden my horizons. Vietnam seemed to be the most different environment I can possibly experience.

I am excited to experience all of the rarities that Vietnam has to offer, and venture outside of my comfort zone for two weeks. Thanks for reading!
