Today we got to witness a marriage, yet it wasn’t in a church…it was in BMW’s factory. What we really witnessed was the top part and bottom part (technical terms, I know) of BMW vehicles being put together. The rest of the tour was equally interesting; I was surprised by how automated the whole process was. The painting process, in particular, was all robots.
After the tour, we wandered through the show area and sat in cars and motorcycles that were worth our tuition.
The original plan was to then explore the BMW museum after lunch, but there was a quick change of plans, as the museum was closed that day. So we ended up at the top of the olympiaturm (aka space needle), where we saw a great view of Munich, including the stadium and facilities built for the 1972 Olympics.
