Day 13- Last Day Well Spent

Today was my last full day in Germany and I took full advantage of it.  I started the day by waking up early and going out to breakfast at local restaurant before catching a train with some friends to go to Munich.  We even had one of the German students join us on our trip.  We found out shortly after arriving in Munich that we would have been lost without him.  We spent the first part of the day walking along the river, enjoying the view and even taking some time to sit down and dip our feet in the water.

We then walked over to the English gardens, our main attraction for the day.  The English Garden is a large park in the center or Munich.  It is a nice place to eat and hang out with friends.  On our way in we got to see people surfing in the river. I had never seen anything like it and it was my favorite part of the day.  The surfers were really good! We stayed and watched for a while before going to a large beer garden in the center of the gardens for an early lunch.  The beer garden was a huge outdoor eating and drinking area that was meant to serve thousands.  After eating it started to pour and we had to huddle under a large Chinese tower until it stopped.  Once the rain slowed down we began to find our way back into town.  We then spent the rest of the night hanging out and saying goodbye to our friends.
