Day 4: Tai Chi Champs in the house!

We had a very long day filled with cultural visits today. I personally was really exhausted from yesterday so I wasn’t feeling it. I wanted to curl up and take a nap everywhere we went. My highlight of the day was lunch. It was Lazy Susan style, which usually worries me, but it was actually really delicious. This was the first time we got a rice dish on the lazy susan and I was sooo happy. I was full after this meal and would eat it again if we had the chance! No regrets from the food today which was super nice ((:

We visited THREE cultural sites today! I personally think it was a little too much, but it was convenient because everything was close to each other. We went to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven. On top of all this we went on a “Narrow Road” Feng Shui trip at a residential neighborhood.

I am not a history nerd and I was never good with remembering things, but I do remember the one extremely famous poster with the man with a grocery bag blocking the huge army tank in Tiananmen square and it was crazy to be standing where that happened. We also went to the Temple of Heaven and BOY IS IT WINDY UP THERE! There was a super strong breeze, but it was really cool to be in a place Emperors used to visit ALL THE TIME! My favorite part of the day, however, was the Tai Chi Class! The instructor taught us a tai chi sequence and it was extremely calming and relaxing. I wish we did Tai Chi everyday here, but that’s just me.

Today was a lot of walking and I’m so tired. I’ll catch you guys tomorrow!
