Hello! My name is Dayna Sepulveda and I’m extremely excited to go to the beautiful country of China. I’m a rising sophomore in the College of Business Administration here at the University of Pittsburgh. I am currently undecided, but looking into Marketing or Finance and getting a minor in Studio Arts. I am a member of the Fashion Business Association, the Latino Student Association, and the Musical Theatre Club. If you had recently watched our production of Legally Blonde, I played Serena. I was born in Queens, New York, but moved to Allentown, Pa at the age of 4. My parents immigrated from the Dominican Republic, and I am a first generation college student. I love going out and doing new things. I’m also very passionate about getting out my comfort zone and experiencing new things.

When I first learned about Plus 3, I knew I wanted to do it. It was the perfect opportunity to explore another country and get a taste of traveling abroad without being too expensive. I believe Plus 3 will help me grow professionally and personally. I can learn more about different aspects of business while also exploring the culture and history of China. Also, since we will be working with smartphone companies, it can help me be more knowledgable in a field of business that is only growing.

There are so many opportunities within China. However, there are a few things that I am nervous about. For instance, the language barriers. Since I am fluent in both Spanish and English, I usually do not have to deal with not understanding someone. Also, being so far away from my family. However, I am trilled to be able to walk on the Great Wall, it has always been one of my goals in life. China is a beautiful country, and I am sure that I will enjoy every last bit of it.
