Day 10: Terminal Illness (not really though)

Today was an interesting day; all the food I’ve been eating caught up with me so I didn’t really participate in much. In the morning, we had our final site visit to the Cat Lai Terminal. Cat Lai is one of the largest ports in Vietnam. Here, they store containers and load them onto and off of boats. The containers have to go through customs, where they get x-rayed to make sure that they don’t contain anything illegal. If the customs officer suspects that a container has something it’s not supposed to, they manually inspect it. The location of the terminal is important because it’s on the water, but only an hour away from Ho Chi Minh City.

After the terminal, we ate lunch in another mall food court. After lunch, we stopped back at the hotel to change and most of the group headed over to the Reunification Palace. However, I stayed back in the hotel, took a nap, and watched ten episodes of Brooklyn 99 instead. So basically, I had a very productive afternoon. After dinner, we started working on our final presentation for Friday. The trip has felt so much shorter than I thought it would. It’s crazy to think that we only have two more days! Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be feeling better tomorrow for our trip to the Mekong Delta.
