For the first time in two weeks, we had no wake up time! Today we had the entire day to work on our presentations as we wished, the only requirement being that we were ready to present at 5:30. As you can probably guess, I took this opportunity to sleep in a little bit later than our typical 8:00 wake up. Luckily, I did wake up in time to catch the end of breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, I spent some time reviewing my project before heading to the University. We ate our last meal at mensa today. Leaving mensa for the last time was like leaving market for the last time in April…except I’ll actually miss the food from mensa.
After lunch my group of American students returned to our hotel to practice our presentation together and change into our business professional attire. Eventually, we headed back to the University where we convened with the German students from our group and practiced until it was time to present. The presentations were rather interesting. For starters, all of the presentations were very professional and seemed as though they could be given at real business meetings rather than just in a classroom. Another notable point from the presentations was the difference among the companies. My presentation, about Hörauf & Kohler, immediately followed the presentation about BMW. It was slightly amusing to see the vast difference in the operations and future projections of the two companies.
By the end of the night we were all exhausted, but it was Jeremy’s birthday so we had to have a nice dinner. The majority of the American students went to a nice Italian restaurant where we celebrated his birthday and the end of a stressful few days preparing for the presentations! It’s all sightseeing from here and I couldn’t be more excited!
