I woke up at around 5:30 AM after a decent sleep. Breakfast began at 7 AM which gave me ample time to get ready for the day. Breakfast was good in my opinion, there were dumplings which I would not have expected to be served for breakfast, but lo and behold it was there. After breakfast the group of us had gone to a palace to view the changing of the guards ceremony and then we were able to view the rest of the palace with both guided touring and free walking.

After this we had gone to lunch at a Korean restaurant in which I had to take my shoes off. Then we traveled to a Buddhist temple. The actual temple required me to take off my shoes again. If I would have known I would have had to take my shoes off frequently I would not have brought my high tops that require loosening every time I put them on. But it was worth the experience. There were paper lanterns all over the place which made it even more beautiful. During this visit my instructor had bought all of us some sort of rice treat which was fairly tasteless but was still a good eating experience.

Then we had traveled to a residential area that was composed of many older looking houses. We had free time to walk around again and take some pictures. It was here that my instructor had bought us a Korean taffy like substance that was pumpkin flavored. It was very sticky along with being rough to take a bite out of. There was some extra time to be had near the end of this visit which allowed some friends and I to shop a little. There were one dollar pairs of socks which took me by surprise.
We then went to a stream after a short bus ride. At this stream there was a little area to toss some coins into. Only two of us in the group were able to make it into where the coins go. I unfortunately was not one of these two but I did get rid of my two coins being 100 won and 10 won coins. These are roughly the equivalents of a dime and a penny.
After the fifteen minute stream tour, we had gone to our final destination: a large street marketplace. This marketplace is probably a square mile in size and filled with many stores. I had only purchased consisted of foodstuffs. These food items consisted of some sort of Korean soda that tasted like grapefruit, a corn dog that was advertised as a cheese dog (I was really looking forward to a cheese dog, but a corn dog sufficed at the time), and 3 dumplings. The dumplings were originally a purchase of ten for 6,000 won, but I split it with two others and paid only 2,000 won for the three dumplings that I consumed. The dumplings were the last thing that I was able to get before having to be back at the bus. This shopping spree per say lasted for an hour and a half, though it seemed to have gone by a lot quicker than that. This was the end of the scheduled day.
It was roughly 6 PM when I decided to go out to dinner, I had gone to an authentic restaurant. I forget the name of the meal that we had got because it was all in Korean. After this I walked around with some friends and then had gone to bed.
