Irish I was Still in Ireland

Unfortunately my time in Ireland has come to an end. These past two weeks flew by, but I had a great time and will forever remember this experience. This trip provided me with a better understanding of what it is like doing business abroad. We went on many site visits, which provided us with first hand experiences. In addition, I also became more professionally developed, gained transferrable skills, and learned how to adapt to new situations that I will be able to use in the future.

In five years I will have so many pictures to look back on to remember this trip. These pictures will remind me of all the breathtaking views in Ireland and the countless memories created on this trip. My favorite places we visited on the trip would have to be the Cliffs of Moher and Kilkenny. This trip would not have been the same without the amazing new friends I met on this trip. We came a long way from being 15 strangers getting stuck in Charlotte to making saying goodbye so hard at the airport. We bonded through all the good and bad times on the trip and we always made the best of it. I will forever remember the memories of sleeping on the bus, the late night conversations, breakfast at Chorus Café every morning, our two hour hike, and being able to explore Dublin with everyone. Little did I know that studying abroad was going to bring me 15 new friends that I will be able to share these memories with in the future.

I really enjoyed my time in Ireland and will definitely want to come back to visit again in the future. Over the past two weeks I was able to do and see a lot, but I still feel that there is so much more that Ireland has to offer that I was not able to experience. I would want to go back and visit many of the same places again, but would want to spend more time in some of the places since we only had a few hours. This was my first time visiting Europe and I can’t wait to go back again.

I am so thankful that I had this opportunity to go on the Plus3 Ireland trip. It will be weird not being in Dublin and seeing everyone, but I can’t wait to reunite with everyone back at Pitt in the fall.
