Hello everyone and welcome to my first Plus 3 blog! My name is Brenda Rea and I am from Pittsburgh, about 20 minutes from Pitt’s campus. Since I have been in Pittsburgh my whole life, I am excited to travel and see what the world has to offer! I chose Plus3 because, as a freshman, it is my first opportunity to study abroad.   

 I am a first-year engineering student and just recently declared my discipline as chemical engineering. It is my dream to work for a consumer products company (such as Proctor & Gamble, Maybelline Cosmetics, General Mills, etc.) to revolutionize the way that consumers interact with the world around them. I believe that my time in Cyprus will give me more exposure to how different companies operate as well as expand my knowledge of supply chain management.

Outside of my travel ambitions and passion for engineering, I love to do anything outdoors such as running, hiking, or skiing. I also spend a lot of my free time replicating new recipes in the kitchen and trying new foods. I am eager to explore all that Cyprus has to offer and immerse myself in a new culture!
