Hi everyone, my name is Cam Heisey and I am from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, which is right outside Harrisburg. I am currently a first year business student and planning to study supply chain management with a minor in economics. In my free time, I enjoy watching and playing sports, skiing, and spending time with my friends. At Pitt, I am a member of the ski club and my intramural basketball team. I have also done a good amount of traveling within the United States and I am beyond excited to visit Europe for the first time and meet new people with Plus3 this May.

During the application process, I had originally selected Netherlands as my first choice, purely because I was the most interested in visiting that country. However, I am even more thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of the Cyprus group because of its focus on supply chain management (and the beautiful location). Another aspect of Plus3 that made me want to participate in this program was the fact that it was only for freshman and just 2 weeks long. I hope to study abroad in the future for a full semester, and trying it out for short time with other students my age sounded like the perfect introduction. While on this trip, I hope to learn a lot about what a career in the field of supply chain looks like, how different supply chains function, and whatever else I can pick up during our company tours. I also hope to learn a lot about the culture of Cyprus. Geography and different cultures have always been interests of mine and I am very eager to check out the beautiful scenery and historic sites Cyprus has to offer. Finally, while on this trip I hope to learn about what professional career in business looks like in general as well as gaining a meaningful experience that I can use as a talking point in future job interviews.
