Hey guys! My name is Melina Bradley. I can’t wait to meet all of you and be best “buds”.

In a couple of weeks, I am heading to Ecuador for Plus 3! I am almost done with my freshmen year here at Pitt where I hope to major in Human Resources Management, minor in Spanish, and complete a Certificate in Leadership and Ethics. On campus, I am involved with the professional business organization, Phi Beta Lambda where I serve as the VP of Member Relations, Women in Business, Pitt HR Club, the Blue and Gold Society and Panther Leadership Academy.

I am incredibly excited to touch down in Quito in a few weeks. As a Human Resources Management Major, I am interested to learn about company culture and organization of the businesses that we will be visiting. I think the best thing people in HR can do is to learn about other facets of business so that they can better understand the employees that they work with. For that reason, I am excited to learn more about Supply Chain. I am also excited to practice using my Spanish with native speakers and to learn about the culture of Ecuador.

I am excited to learn by doing whether that is speaking Spanish, making chocolate, or harvesting flowers. Plus 3 really is such a unique immersion experience to learn by truly putting yourself in other people’s shoes. I am excited to learn from those in Ecuador, my classmates, and the staff from Pitt.
