Hi, my name is Nick Lamb and I am from a town in Western New York called Geneseo. I am a freshman in the school of business with an intended major in Accounting and Finance. Living in Pittsburgh has been a big adjustment for me, but as time goes on I am liking the city more and more. In my free time, I enjoy both playing and watching sports. In particular, I love basketball and I am on an intramural team here at Pitt. Apart from sports, I like being outdoors, spending time with friends, and watching movies.

I originally chose to go on the Netherlands section of Plus3, as I enjoy architecture and history. However, Covid had other plans and I know find myself on Plus3 Cyprus 2. Despite this abrupt change of plans, I am very excited to visit Cyprus and some of the companies that are found there. For example, hearing a lecture on cryptocurrency is something that appeals to me. Additionally, learning about supply chain management is something that is relevant in our current times. Apart from the company visits, I look forward to spending time on the beach.

The main reason that I chose to do Plus 3 is so that I grow as a person. Traveling overseas is a daunting task, and one that I haven’t done before. The process of traveling will force me out of my comfort zone and teach me new things. Learing about a culture vastly different than my own will also lead to personal growth. I look forward to immersing myself in the day to day life of Cypriots. Trying new foods, practicing new customs, and taking in a new landscape are all things I greatly look forward to. All in all, I am very excited to go on this trip and make new memories.
