Coming to Costa Rica I just want to take in the scenery without any expectations to cloud my judgment. I took spanish in high school for a couple years and I’ve been to Spain twice but I wanted to keep an open mind while traveling to Costa Rica. Despite both places sharing the same language, I have realized that they both offer different things that make them beautiful in their own. Everyday, my goal is to try something new and today I bought and tried star fruit.
Every since January when I got accepted into this program, the entire trip didn’t feel real. After being here for only one day, I have gotten more and more excited for the things I am about to experience. Not to mention, I’m grateful that our group gets along nicely. One thing I was concerned about was whether or not our group would get along. I was pleasantly surprised to an early soccer scrimmage before we started the day. I’m looking forward to the rest of the trip and using my small spanish foundation as much as possible.
