European Escapades: Day 3

Day 2 in Germany was fantastic! We started the day meeting students at the University of Augsburg, where we worked on our respective company presentations. I was afforded the honor of being in the team that explained and introduced the company BMW to the group! BMW is a company that is very near and dear to my heart as I grew up with my parents driving BMW’s and the very first car I drove and learned how to drive on was a BMW.

After presenting information for one of my favorite companies and watching the introductions for other companies, we were given a university campus tour and had lunch in the university cafeteria. The food in the cafeteria was delicious, and I enjoyed eating a vegan burger, fries, and tomato soup. After lunch, we met a few more German students who plan on coming to Pittsburg next semester during the fall. They were really friendly and genuinely interested in the social environment of the US and Pittsburgh in specific.

Then we were split up into three groups and given a scavenger hunt. I enjoyed this part of the day the most because I explored the city and took many pictures!
Furthermore, I got to talk to the different members of my team, who were all friendly and fun to get to know. Most of the people on my team I had not spoken to yet, so the scavenger hunt was entertaining because it gave me the time to get to know Augsburg as a city and my fellow teammates.

Sadly, my team came in last place, but in my heart, we got first. After that, we visited a brewery and went for dinner at a local Italian restaurant where I ordered Gnocchi with garlic marinara and fresh mozzarella.

A picture of the food I ordered! One of the best sauces I have ever tried!

After dinner, I ended up walking back to the hotel room, and now I am writing this post! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this! Until Next Time!
