So far Costa Rica has been amazing and full of tasty treats. Firstly, Costa Rica welcomed us with some light rain and orientation. We ventured into town and grabbed dinner with our group while experiencing the local smoothies. I was very surprised at the common tradition of drinking smoothies with meals. I did expect the heavy rain we were welcomed with but I was surprised at its strength and length.

I think the majority of the trip so far have matched my expectations expect a few of new experiences. We found great food stalls in the central market where I acquired some star fruit and tried others’ fruits. The fruit was amazing and I saw many new varieties that I’ve never seen before. As I don’t know much Spanish, it’s a little difficult communicating with the locals but I’m starting to catch on to a few phrases here and there. I’m hoping that by the end of this trip, i’ll be able to have a much broader vocabulary. Overall, this trip has been great so far and I’m excited for the adventures to come!
