Guten Morgen Deutschland!

After longs week of waiting, the day finally arrived and I was eager to say goodbye to Pittsburgh (temporarily) and begin the German adventure. After what felt like endless hours on multiples planes, my body was filled with excitement to discover this beautiful part of Europe and further my business knowledge.

The ride to the hotel was my first exposure to Germany’s green landscapes. After meeting with our partners at Augsburg, the group stopped for our first informal meal and walk around the city. Although it was already a long and exhausting day, dinner was an spectacular experience as I was able to meet some of the German students who were not only extremely friendly but also spoke perfect English. Dinner was also my first time trying authentic German cuisine (more specifically schnitzel), which was filled with flavor and substance and the perfect jetlag remedy.

I was left speechless as I walked around the Augsburg streets for the first time, not only because everyone was so well dressed, but because at every corner I looked there was a spectacular fountain, astonishing bakery or building filled with history. From my first hour in the city I quickly realized that the city is filled with folklore and beautiful scenery, both of which I could not wait to explore in the next upcoming days.
