Today was our first full day in Cyprus. I enjoyed every aspect of our activities and had a lot of fun getting to know the people in our group.

To begin, we woke up around 9:00 and begun our day by heading down to the breakfast in the hotel. They had an assortment of food buffet-style but there was also options to order food from the grill. I enjoyed the yogurt and coffee the most. Next, we got together with the Cyprus 2 group and headed out to see new parts of Nicosia that we had not seen before. We passed various retail stores and multiple coffee shops that we then planned to come back to. After this, we split up for lunch where my friends and I enjoyed smoothies, pizza, and salad.

To begin another tour, we then got on the bus and drove to UNIC where we sat through a presentation and then walked around the campus. After we all passed our required COVID test, we then went back to the hotel and took a very-needed shower before another walking tour. This tour took us to many historical sites where we learned an immense amount of information about the green line, Turkeys invasions, and much more.

Finally, once all the walking was finished, we sat down and enjoyed a wonderful spread for dinner. This included kabobs, fries, sausage, cheese, pita, tzatziki sauce, and a delicious dessert of homemade yogurt and marmalade. This was my favorite part of the day, not only because of the scrumptious food, but because everyone at our table had great conversation and we all were able to learn so much about each other. I love getting to know new people, and I think our group will get along very well in the future.
