Day Four in Cyprus

Today was my favorite day yet in Cyprus. I really enjoyed traveling to Trodoos. Even the views from the bus as we drove up the mountain were amazing. When initially arriving to the top of the mountain, I was disappointed to be greeted by a landscape that looked like a Pennsylvanian. However, after walking away from the souvenir shops, we found a great place to take photos along a cliff. Then we made our way back to the souvenir shops before getting back on the bus to head down the mountain.

After the tourist stop at the top of the mountain, we stopped at Omodos Village in the mountains of Cyprus. Walking around this village was my favorite part of the trip so far. The monastery had such detailed architecture that I really appreciated. The alleys throughout the city were so cool and European-feeling. We ate another meze style lunch with our whole group which was once again delicious.

After visiting the mountain village, we drove to Limassol to hear from Cyprus Ports Authority. I found this lecture interesting but hard to follow toward the end of the session. After this business visit, we traveled back to Nicosia and went to a restaurant to celebrate Lucy’s birthday.
