After a lovely weekend at the beach, it was quite difficult to go back to our typical business meeting days. The day started with our typical breakfast and then a short drive to the University of Nicosia. We began with two presentations given by FML Fleet Management. The second presentation was very informational which helped put our previous port visits into context. Then we ate lunch at the university restaurant. After lunch, a few UNIC students asked where our group was from and once we said America, they said, “howdy, y’all!” We explained to them how we aren’t from the south where those sayings are popular and their next question was if we are from California.

Our next presentations were given on cryptocurrency and global forecasting. I found the cryptocurrency presentation interesting and insightful since I had never fully understood the subject before. The next presentation given was also quite interesting for its explanation of forecasting, a subject I had never truly heard of before. The look into competitions forecasting Walmart sales was an intriguing concept for its application to the real world. After our business visits today, I had a very laid back evening in hopes of resting for our early start tomorrow.
