It’s the final countdown! Do do do dooooo! Do do do do doooo! Today was the last day of the official Plus3 Germany program. Today we presented our company presentations, which we’ve been working on over the course of the last two weeks. For these presentations, we worked with German students from the University of Augsburg to analyze companies which we had the opportunity to visit. My team worked on the company Webasto, which produces roofing for cars, EV charging solutions, and heating and cooling units for vehicles.
Our company presentation was a huge success. We completed the presentation within all of the required parameters, and even managed to get a few laughs out of the jokes that we incorporated (shoutout to Gaby for the reading joke). After presentations, we handed out Pitt t-shirts to the German students as a token of gratitude for being such great hosts.
Finally, we shared a final “goodbye” dinner with the German students and German professors. The meal was delicious, and the presentation of the meal was fantastic. The food looked just as good as it tasted!

After the meal, it was time to say goodbye to the German friends we’ve made here on Plus3 Germany. To Korbinian, Maxi, Nikolas, and all of my other German colleagues, I’d like to say thank you. Thank you for being such gracious hosts, for welcoming me into your country with open arms, for showing me all of the interesting things unique to your culture, for translating all of the silly phrases we said into German, for the time and effort that you put into this program, and for teaching this young Pennsylvanian what it means to be a Bavarian. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

This goodbye isn’t forever, however. Plus3 Germany 2022 will make it’s way back to Augsburg one day! Besides, Augsburg would be so quiet without 19 Americans wreaking havoc 20 hours per day! I’ll see you all tomorrow!
