A bit of a shorter blog entry again today, as our eleventh day in Cyprus was mainly a beach day. However, in the morning we all had to get tested for COVID-19 for reentry into the U.S. Afterwards, we took a bus down to Finikoudes beach in Larnaca. We arrived shortly after 11am and had roughly 3 ½ hours to spend, including lunch if we wanted. Today’s activities at the beach were similar to the other beach day, such as playing volleyball, swimming, and tanning. We played keep-it-up with the volleyball again, and were able to hit it a record 68 times. After this accomplishment, we cooled off in the water before getting lunch.
We decided to get lunch at around 12:30pm, to ensure that we had plenty of time to avoid the lunch mishap of before. The restaurant we chose had really good food and I thought it was surprisingly quick. By the time we were done eating, it was almost 2pm, so we went back onto the beach and volleyed the volleyball for a little bit before it was time to go. 10 minutes before we needed to leave, our amazing instructors treated us to ice cream, which was really nice. Overall, it was a really fun end to our trip and an unforgettable experience.
