Today was the first totally free day we had and it was both fun and relaxing.

I slept in until about 11 am today, and woke up feeling refreshed and ready for the day. I then immediately went out to the beach, where the rest of Cyprus one and two were. It was beautiful out, sunny but not too hot. The water was cool and refreshing. We all swam out to a rock that was far offshore. The highlight of the day came from the spirited game of volleyball or rather keeping the ball in the air. Tanner and I later out for the ball sometimes, and we got to 25 hits, which was very exciting.

Aside from volleyball the other source of excitement/stress from the day came when we were eating lunch. We had to leave at 3 so we confidently strode into a restaurant at 2 pm expecting to get our meal and be on our way. Things did not go as planned. We forgot the difference in culture between America and Cyprus. In America, service is always prompt and one hour is always enough time to eat if the restaurant is not overly busy that day. Things are different in Cyprus, and we ended up being a bit late for our planned departure time. Dr. Bursic if you are reading this I apologize.
