Hello! My name is Gabrielle Halpern and I am from Potomac, Maryland. I am a Sophomore majoring in Marketing at the University of Pittsburgh’s College of Business Administration. In my free time I play field hockey with the Hooligans Field Hockey team where I am currently the Business Manager, and will be the President for the upcoming school year. In addition, I am a brother in the professional business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi. 

It has always been a goal of mine to travel abroad, so I am extremely excited to be going on the Plus3 Ireland program with Pitt Business. I have chosen this program as it will allow me to experience globalization in business and the culture of Ireland first-hand. Ireland is a very business-friendly environment with lower tax rates and a highly educated workforce. I believe it would be interesting to experience this environment to compare and contrast how business is conducted in the U.S. This experience will not only teach me about the industry, but could possibly help to guide me into identifying a future career.
