Hi everyone, my name is Emma Gravgaard and I am originally from Brookfield, CT. I am a junior majoring in industrial engineering with a minor in economics.

Outside of the classroom, I am a diver on the Pitt Swim and Dive team as well a member of Phi Sigma Rho, which is a social STEM sorority. Over the last summer I worked at U.S. Steel in the logistics department, and this coming summer I will be a supply chain intern at Pepsi!

In my free time, some of my favorites things to do are hang out with my friends around Pittsburgh, find new books to read, and binge any new tv shows that come up on my watch list.

Why I chose Prague

I will be going on the Plus3 Transfer international program, and we are going to the Czech Republic! I chose this program as I am very interested in learning about engineering in other parts of the world, as well as getting the opportunity to experience all of the history and culture that the city of Prague has to offer. I hope to gain a better understanding of how companies function outside of The United States, and how different problems are solved in a different country!
