Hello! My name is Amber, and I am going to go to Ireland in only three weeks! I can not believe it is so close. I am an accounting and BIS major, who is planning to complete the MAcc program. I will be graduating this upcoming fall semester (December 2023), and then returning for my Master’s degree. Personally, I enjoy going to concerts, baking, and spending time with my friends and family. I have had multiple internships including having the title of Global Tax Intern at Westinghouse Electric Company. I am currently an Accounting Intern at CLA, working mainly on the assurance side of the company. After returning from Ireland, I will be working for FORVIS as an Audit Intern this summer. Next spring, I will be returning as an Accounting Intern at CLA, and next summer I will be working as an Assurance Intern for EY in New York.

I am very excited to be a member on the Plus 3 Ireland program. I chose this program because I have never been abroad before, and would like to experience traveling in a guided manner. I believe on this program, I will be able to get an introduction to traveling abroad. Additionally, this program will aid to my BIS major. Dublin is a city filled with technology companies, so being able to experience these companies, will aid to my knowledge in the information systems environment. Finally, I hope to be able to gain professional development skills in addition to experiencing a new city abroad. These skills will be developed through various site visits where I am interacting with international professionals in addition to the responsibility it takes to live abroad.
