Hi everyone! My name is Olivia Wolf and I’m a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh. I am looking to pursue a major in Supply Chain Management and Global Management, as well as a minor in Mandarin or Spanish. Additionally, I’m hoping to pursue a certificate in Ethics and Leadership.
I am from Allentown, Pennsylvania and in my free time I love to play guitar, travel, and experience new things. I have been playing guitar for 12 years, but I only recently started to learn classical and flamenco style guitar within the past 2 years. When I’m not playing guitar, I love spending time with friends and family. Besides that, I am very interested in linguistics and writing systems. I have been learning Spanish for 6 years and French for 2 years, and I’m hoping to add Mandarin this upcoming semester. In preparation for this trip, I attempted to learn a few phrases in Quechua, the most second most common language spoken in Ecuador. “Allinllachu, kusallan!” means “Hi, nice to meet you!”
I am so excited to have the opportunity to not only travel outside of the US, but to explore the amazing country that is Ecuador. Plus3 has already been such an amazing chance to develop my understanding of supply chains, and I am looking forward to all of the knowledge I will gain throughout this trip. I am most looking forward to developing my Spanish skills, as I hope to one day become fluent in the language. I cannot wait to see everything that Ecuador has to offer, from the rich culture and biodiversity to the breathtaking landscapes and one-of-a-kind experiences I will gain.
I’ll see you in Ecuador!
Olivia
