An Ecuadorian Adventure

Hi, my name is Danya Weinstock and I am lucky enough to say that in less than a week, I will be in Ecuador 🇪🇨! I am from South Jersey and I’m currently an undecided business major at Pitt. I have interests in finance and marketing, and I can’t wait to explore and apply those topics in depth once we get to Ecuador. I’m currently on the club soccer team at Pitt and have just became a new member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. I love to watch all sports, especially when any Philadelphia team is playing.

The Pitt Plus 3 program is something that I’ve had my eye in since orientation last April and is even part of the reason why I chose Pitt. With limited abroad options freshman year, I knew that I had to take advantage of this one. I chosen to be apart of the plus 3 Ecuador program and I don’t think there could’ve been a better fit for me because I love chocolate, nature, and adventure. I’m so excited to be off the grid with the great group that we have so we can bond and develop more lasting relationships. Visiting the cocoa and flower plantations will be educational from a business, cultural, and professional standpoint. Learning about the differences in the lifestyles of Ecuador versus the United States is something that I can’t wait to dive into. As my excitement grows, I prepare for the trip of a lifetime with fellow students who will also hopefully endure and appreciate this experience.
