Excitement for Arrival in Cyprus

As the plane takes off for Frankfurt, Germany, I am anticipating all the fantastic opportunities we will have in the coming weeks. I am excited to try the food when we arrive, as it is an essential part of any culture. The ability to try new foods is something that I am often enthusiastic about when encountering new locations. In addition, coffee has been a constant topic of conversation within the group over the past two days. As an avid coffee drinker, I know that a coffee shop will be one of my first morning destinations, and I know I won’t be alone. Hopefully, we will be able to try out more traditional styles of coffee and immerse ourselves in Cyprus’s cafe culture.

The traveling journey so far has been uncomplicated and enjoyable. The group has not encountered any significant problems, and our enthusiasm has remained intact. Thankfully, none of the group members have lost any important items so far, and hopefully, this stays the case. We got to experience some nice views so far on the flight to Frankfurt, Including an overview of Pittsburgh and a sunset. The excitement for arriving in Cyprus and the rest of the program makes the travel process go by rather quickly.

When I think about the aspects of the trip that I am most excited about, the ancient sites instantly come to mind. I love history and have not learned about it as much as I would have liked throughout the last year. Cyprus’s history, in particular, is something that I have been excited to learn about since I learned about this program. The mix of cultures in Cyprus and the different governments that have occurred makes for a one-of-a-kind history and current condition. I am extremely excited to learn about the Island’s history during our activities and conversations with the locals.
